
Dead body found at Apple Headquarters
According to news agencies, a dead body has been found in a meeting room at Apple Headquarters in Cupertino. At first it was not clear whether the person was an Apple employee or not, but later it was confirmed that the person in question worked for Apple. It appears that there was a heated argument between two people and a female employee suffered a head wound by a gun and was escorted off campus by security. Later a dead body was found in the conference room with a gun next to it. Sources only revealed that the man, who apparently killed himself was Hispanic. Update (April 29th) : The body has been identifies as Edward Thomas Mackowiak, age 25. The cause of death has been confirmed as a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Apple denied to commend what Mackowiak’s role was in the company, but a LinkedIn profile page (deleted) listed him as a software engineer. Late Wednesday Apple released the following statement :
“We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of a young and talented coworker. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends, including the many people he worked with here at Apple.”
